INDIAN & NEPALESE PAPERS
Nepalese and Indian papers are sourced from a geographically wide area of traditional papermaking villages.
Printmaking, Watercolour & Drawing
100% Cotton

Made from recycled rags, these are strong and rugged papers with long fibre cotton. Sheets are sized internally with neutral Ph size and again on the surface with gelatine. They are not absorbent and work well with watercolour and ink. They can also be oil primed and used as an alternative to canvas.

SIZES & VARIATIONS: Please note: While we state the sizes, the smallest size handmade paper sizes do vary. While very similiar, each sheet has its own unique quality.

Hemp
A traditional Islamic handmade paper made by Kagzi papermakers of north India. The paper is formed on a chapri, a screen of fine grass stems, which leaves its impression as a watermark on the sheet.
