Mezzotint Rockers
One of the most beautiful methods of printmaking, and probably the most time-consuming, in terms of plate preparation. The velvety tones produced originate with good quality tools and copper plates. We recommend “The Mezzotint” by Carol Wax (Bookshelf pg 41) as a companion text for practitioners and fans. Lyons Mezzotint Rockers - best quality hardened steel set in a wide wooden handle. Sharpening is recommended before use.
