Digital printing is now entering into the Fine Art arena. There are many fantastic papers available in varying weights, textures and sizes that are expanding digital printing possiblities.

We have a fabulous range of drawing papers. Classic cartridge papers in a range of whites and colours. Extensive range of sizes and weights for all types of drawing materials.

Nepalese and Indian papers are sourced from a geographically wide area of traditional papermaking villages.

Our range encompasses sublime handmade papers of various plant fibres and natural dyes, as well as machinemade standard stock which still retain an individuality to make printing a real pleasure.

Paper used for intaglio printing must be of a quality that will allow it to be dampened, without falling apart and must be able to pick up the finest detail from your plate. Rag papers, either handmade or mould made are traditionally used in intaglio because of their long fibres.

Paper used in Lithography should be smooth and flat, soft with good dimensional stability that will not stretch uncontrollably under pressure. It should be also capable of absorbing several layers of ink without too much glossing.

Papers for relief printing will be determined partly by whether you are hand burnishing or using a press. If hand burnishing a lighter, finer smoother surfaced paper is recommended. If using a press it is possible to use a heavier paper with slightly more of a texture.

The main requirement for a good watercolour paper is that it will accept a watercolour wash in an even manner. It is the degree of sizing which controls the amount of water absorption into the paper. Some papers are only internally sized however many watercolour papers are both internally and externally sized.
